Najmuddin Sheikh said there is no provision for ban on export of the Iranian gas under the sanctions already imposed

Experts while participating in Radio Pakistan Program termed Pak-Iran gas pipeline as vital for national economy.
Former Secretary Foreign Affairs Najmuddin Sheikh said there is no provision for ban on export of the Iranian gas under the sanctions already imposed on Tehran for its nuclear programme.
Prominent industrialist‚ Ishtiaq Beg said supply of Iranian gas is very important for Pakistan as we are losing two percent of the GDP due to the ongoing energy crisis.
An eminent Journalist‚ Shaukat Paracha said there is acute shortage of power in Pakistan. There is a gap of seven thousand MW of electricity at peak hours during the summer season.
