Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has said Pakistan attaches great
importance to its relations with the European Union which has
significantly contributed our socio-economic uplift.
Talking to the European Union Ambassadors in Islamabad‚ she thanked the EU for generous assistance during natural calamities especially the floods of 2010.
She appreciated the EU approval of the Autonomous Trade Preferences to Pakistan besides GSP Plus scheme for greater market access to the EU.
The Foreign Minister also apprised the Ambassadors about the steps taken by Pakistan for the promotion and protection of human rights especially women and minorities.
