Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf says his government is committed to the welfare of all minorities living in Pakistan.
Talking to Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Syed Asif Hashmi in Islamabad on Sunday‚ he said minorities are equal citizens of the country and their places of worship and religious sites would be provided protection.
He directed the Chairman to ensure all possible assistance and facilitate to pilgrims from within and outside the country.
The Chairman briefed the Premier on steps taken by the board for the welfare of pilgrims and measures taken to maintain their religious places.
