Earlier‚ speaking at a luncheon in honour of Palestinian President Mahmood Abbas President Asif Ali Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering support to the Palestinians in their just struggle for the establishment of an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
He urged the international community to take the measures to settle the issue of Palestine.
President said Pakistan will continue to voice its support for the cause of Palestinians at all international fora.
He said we rejoice that Palestine has achieved non-member observer state status at the United Nations and Pakistan will fully support its admission as a full member of the UN.
He said the people of Palestine and Kashmir are deprived of their just rights.
Expressing dismay at the negative reaction of Israel to the recognition of Palestine as a state‚ he said Israeli is mocking the UN and violating international laws with impunity.
Strongly condemning the building of illegal settlements in the occupied territories‚ President Zardari called upon the international community to stop Israel from building new settlements. He said these settlements would be a death blow to the two-nation state solution.
He said Israel's complete disregard for international law is a slap on the face of the entire international community.
President Zardari said continued denial of inalienable right of self-determination to the people of Occupied Kashmir and Palestine carries the risk of instability of the Middle East and South Asian region.

President Zardari said one hundred and eighty million Pakistanis stand with their Palestinian brothers in their courageous fight against illegal occupation of their homeland. He said we will continue to extend all out support to Palestinians for their right to self-determination.
Speaking on the occasion‚ Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Palestinians people value the support and sincere commitment extended by Pakistan at every international forum for the just cause of Palestine. He thanked Pakistan for supporting Palestine's non-member observer state status at the United Nations General Assembly.
Mahmoud Abbas reiterated commitment to continue struggle for the freedom of Palestine.
He called upon Israel to stop building illegal settlements and end occupation of Palestinian land for peace and security of the region. He said we keep our hands extended to peace and ready to work with our friends to achieve the two state solution.
Earlier‚ the two leaders held threadbare discussions on bilateral relations and regional and international issues of mutual interests.
