Chairman Senate Nayyer Hussain Bokhari has proposed that political
forces should initiate a dialogue for direct elections of the members of
Senate.
In an interview‚ he also suggested constitution of joint standing committees of the parliament to ensure expeditious and unanimous legislation.
Bukhari said record legislation has been made in the Senate and twenty bills were passed only during last year.
The Chairman Senate emphasized unity among political forces and all other stakeholders to uproot menace of terrorism.
