Interior Minister Rehman Malik has appealed to Christian community to
remain calm and stop holding more protests against the Badami Bagh
incident.
Talking to newsmen after talks with a Christian delegation in Islamabad‚ he assured that rights of the Christian community would be protected.
He said the Punjab government has failed to protect properties of the Christians.
The Interior Minister said had the Punjab government taken action against banned organisations‚ this incident would have not happened.
Chairman All Pakistan Christian League Prof. Salamat on this occasion demanded registration of cases against local police for their negligence in Badami Bagh incident.
